A common usability problem associated with report parameters is the need to manually click the refresh button each time to see changes to the parameters in the report. This is in itself a sensible measure to minimize data traffic at the database level – as a rule, the entire parameter set will first be adjusted before the report is output. However, it can also happen that only individual parameters are usually adjusted, and then the manual click required is annoying and not intuitive. But now we have a solution: the new “Apply immediately” property for report parameters in List & Label.
As soon as a parameter that has this property set is changed, the report is automatically re-rendered immediately. This eliminates the need to manually click the refresh button to see the changes. This automation not only saves time, but also significantly improves the entire process of creating reports with parameters. The benefits of this feature are manifold: it allows you to work faster by eliminating the tedious switching between parameter adjustments and manual updates. It also improves the user experience, as updating is direct and intuitive, with no additional steps required.
Regardless of whether List & Label is used on the desktop or on the web, the “Apply immediately” property works smoothly in both environments.
